Austin Gardens Master Plan

Master plan study of this small downtown park as part of the execution of overall recommendations from the Comprehensive Plan. Work included meeting with focus groups and public to determine uses and future of the park, development of schematic design and design development with public review for recommended plan. Master plan features enhancements to wildflower and native plant area, an important are in the park, upgrades of botanic interest to general park plantings and park amenities such as furniture and lighting, and a new facility with utility upgrades to support public outreach related to the interpretation of natural area and outreach education, theater in the park, one of its major summer activities and support of winter activities when weather permits.
