Much-loved green space in downtown Chicago (northwest portion of Grant Park), along Michigan Avenue between Monroe and Randolph Streets. Project included the Gehry performance stage and specially constructed lawn, Cloudgate sculpture and plaza, shaded lawn terraces, ice rink and special use area, display and festival gardens. Portions of the park opened December 2001 and construction continued through 2004.
As part of a diverse team of consultants, CYLA’s professional services included design development for planting plans, landscape layouts, and construction documents and construction administration. CYLA also conducted post-construction assessments of new trees.
