Burton Westcott House – Landscape Master Plan

Development of Landscape Master Plan for the grounds of Frank Lloyd Wright-designed residence, 1908-9, currently open to the public for tours and events. CYLA provided research, landscape design and construction documents through construction administration related to the restoration of the house. Project included reconstruction of pool and terrace feature on front of house, restoration of all planters integrated with the house, and replicas of original urns for the pergola. A special feature of the landscape is the cutting garden highlighting flowers from the turn of the century. Adjacent to the cutting garden is the pergola and lawn that serve as a setting for fundraisers and events. The team of architects, institutional consultants and engineers was led by Chambers, Murphy, Burge Architects for the Westcott House Foundation, 2002-2006.
